Dome of the Rock: Target of Muslim Extremists?
by Emanuel A. Winston   April 29, 2007

Collapsing the Dome and Al-Aksa may trigger a war.

Concern has been raised in Israel that Islamic terrorists such as Hamas or Al-Qaeda may target the Muslim shrine of the Dome of the Rock or Al-Aksa Mosque, both of which sit atop the site of the Jewish Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
The Islamic terrorists would then blame Israel to arouse Muslim anger, in order to trigger a war in the Middle East. The subsequent loss of Muslim lives is of little concern to them. On the contrary, they even think this is the best way to get their fellow Muslims into their paradise, by making them shuhada (plural of shahid, martyr for Islam). We have already seen Shiite and Sunni Muslims target each others' mosques for demolition, and that both use their so-called "shrines" for the storage of weapons, explosives and safe houses for their terrorists. They do, however, expect Americans and Israelis to respect the self-proclaimed sanctity of their mosques and shrines.
Suspicions were raised in light of the frenzied reaction to Israel repairing a crumbling, earthquake-damaged earthen ramp that leads up to the site of the Temple Mount. Muslim leaders tried to assert that the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aksa Mosque were endangered by these repair measures - a rather ridiculous claim. It was also thought that Muslim terrorists were planning to collapse the shaky ramp on top of Jewish worshipers at the Western Wall. They may have intended to use this excuse to permanently close the Mughrabi Gate (the only gate up to the Mount open to non-Muslims) to the Temple Mount so no infidels (non-Muslims) could enter.
In this light, it is clear why Muslim leaders always opposed any infrastructure improvements in the area. With an anarchist agenda, they want people to get hurt and
It is clear why Muslim leaders always opposed any infrastructure improvements in the area.
are happy to help the process along if it benefits their religious war against the Jews, Christians and all other non-Muslim infidels whom they must kill.
In fact, the Muslim Wakf (religious administrative authority) has been carrying out secret excavations under the Temple Mount, to invent and reinforce their own religious claims while disposing of all Jewish artifacts - some from the First and Second Temple periods.
Israeli engineers warned the Wakf that they were weakening the supporting walls of the Temple Mount, including those of the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aksa Mosque. A dangerous bulge was spotted on a major retaining wall of the Temple Mount. Yet, the Wakf has continued to undermine the foundations until today.
A moderately small earthquake in February 11, 2004, coupled with the effects of a major snowfall, damaged the Mughrabi Gate ramp leading up to the Temple Mount. Even a small earthquake could completely collapse the ancient stone walls. Many earthquakes have hit this region, which lies on a major fault along the Jordan River, called the Dead Sea Rift, running the length of Israel and creating a series of active faults throughout the country. The area underlying the entire region is a series of major and minor faults under constant pressure to slip or crack, producing major and minor tremblers. (If you wish to explore this further, then pull up the words "earthquake," "2004," "damage to Mughrabi ramp to Temple Mount" on Google.)
Even a small trembler could collapse the wall of Solomon's Temple Mount now that the Muslim Wakf has dug out the core of the Mount. It is merely an event waiting to happen. The other possibility is that Muslim Arab terrorists might be preparing to place high explosives on the remaining supports that hold up the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aksa Mosque.
Time will tell.

RABBIS WANT SHEEP SACRIFICE
A fringe group of extremist rabbis wants to resume the biblical practice of animal sacrifice at a religious site in Jerusalem, members said yesterday. When the Jewish Temples stood in the Old City of Jerusalem more than 2,000 years ago, animal sacrifice was a centrepiece of the religion. After the destruction of the temples, sacrifices were banned. Now a group, called the Re-established Sanhedrin, is trying to find sheep suitable for sacrifice, with an eye towards resuming the practice at the Temple Mount, which is also home to the al-Aqsa Mosque, where Muslims believe the Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven. Dozens of Jewish extremists enter Aqsa Mosque esplanade Al-Khalil, Oct 19, 2005     IRNA

Palestine-Aqsa
Israeli occupation police on Wednesday allowed dozens of messianic Jewish extremists to enter and pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque esplanade in occupied al-Quds.

Muslim Wakf sources said that as many as fifty Jewish extremists were allowed to enter the Haram al-Sharif esplanade Wednesday morning escorted by numerous soldiers and paramilitary policemen.

The incursion came two days after the Israeli High Court allowed members of the so-called Temple Mount Faithful to pray within the confines of the Haram al Sharif.

Eyewitnesses said the Jewish extremists were seen making rituals outside the Dome of the Rock Mosque and in other parts of the esplanade.

The Temple Mount Faithful is an Israeli terrorist group dedicated to the destruction of Muslim and Christian holy places in Jerusalem and the building of a Jewish temple on the site of al-Masjidul Aqsa.

Muslim leaders in Jerusalem condemned the Israeli court decision, calling it a clear provocation.

"This is a clear provocation. This is an exclusively Islamic shrine, Jews and other non-Muslims have no right to pray there," said a statement released by the Al-Aqsa Foundation for the renovation of Islamic holy places in Palestine.

The foundation warned that allowing Jews to pray at the Aqsa Mosque esplanade was only the first of an Israeli plan to partition the Islamic Holy place, considered to be Islam's third holiest.

In 2000, a provocative "visit" to the al-Aqsa by Zionist prime Minister Ariel Sharon, then opposition leader, sparked off the Aqsa Intifada.

Aug 2, 2004----On Tisha B'Av, 5764 (2004), The Temple Mount Faithful Movement Carried 2 Cornerstones for the Third Temple Around the walls of Biblical Jerusalem and Through the Main Streets of Downtown Jerusalem
They marched to the Temple Mount with a model of the Temple and read the Book of Lamentations.
Yesterday, on the Shabbat after Tisha B'Av, all the synagogues in Israel read the weekly Torah portion from Deuteronomy and afterwards the exciting prophecy of comfort from Isaiah.

“Comfort my people, comfort them, says your God. Speak comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry to her, that her fighting is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the Lord's hand double for all her sins. A voice cries, Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. ... And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. ... You who bring good news to Zion, get up to the high mountain; You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say to the cities of Judah, Behold your God! Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his hire before him. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd; he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.” (Isaiah40:1-3,5,9-11)

Tisha B’Av (27/07/04) is the day commemorating the destruction of the First Temple in 586 BCE and the Second Temple in 70CE. Despite the fact that it was a fast day when everyone in Israel read the Book of Lamentations sitting on the ground mourning the destruction of both Temples, the deep feeling was that we are living at the time of this comfort. Both Isaiah and Jeremiah prophesied the destruction of the Temples and Jeremiah also wrote the book of Lamentations. But they also prophesied the comfort and rebuilding of the Temple. Both prophesied of the time in which we are now living which they called the end-times. The focus of all these end-time prophecies of comfort is the redemption of the people and land of Israel, the regathering of the Jewish people to the land of Israel which G–d gave them in an eternal covenant, the rebirth of the people and land of Israel, the rebuilding of the temple and the coming of Mashiach ben David to Jerusalem. The exciting prayers of Rachel, one of the 2 mothers of the Israeli people, which were prayed in the last 2000 years of destruction were answered by the G–d of Israel:
“Thus says the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. Thus says the Lord; Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears; for your work shall be rewarded, says the Lord; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope for your future, says the Lord, that your children shall come again to their own border.” (Jeremiah31:14-16)

In 1948, and even earlier, these prayers of our mother and the prayers of the prophets and the people of Israel started to be answered by the G–d of Israel in such an exciting way before all the nations as G–d promised. Like a fast stream of water the children of Rachel and Leah began to be regathered to the land of Israel. It was an exciting godly event of the rebirth of the people and land of Israel. Waste cities and villages in the land were rebuilt and small Israeli children are playing in the streets of Jerusalem as Zechariah prophesied.
“Again the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying, Thus says the Lord of hosts; I was zealous for Zion with great zeal, and I was zealous for her with great fury. Thus says the Lord: I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the Holy Mountain. Thus says the Lord of hosts: Old men and old women shall again dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for the fullness of days. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.” (Zechariah81-5)

Jeremiah expressed the redemptional plan of G–d with Israel in the end-times in such beautiful words:
“The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he has done it, and until he has performed the intents of his heart; in the latter days you shall consider it. At the same time, says the Lord, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people. Thus says the Lord, The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness; when Israel sought for rest. The Lord has appeared to me, far away, saying, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have remained true to you. Again I will build you, and you shall be built, O virgin of Israel; you shall again be adorned with your tambourines, and shall go out dancing with those who make merry. You shall yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria; the planters shall plant, and shall enjoy the fruit. For there shall be a day, when the watchmen upon Mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise, and let us go up to Zion to the Lord our God. For thus says the Lord; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout on the hilltops of the nations; proclaim, praise, and say, O Lord, save your people, the remnant of Israel. Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the ends of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and she who labours with child together; a great company shall return there. They shall come weeping, and with supplications will I lead them; I will make them walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, where they shall not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn. Hear the word of the Lord, O you nations, and declare it in the islands far away, and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, like a shepherd keeps his flock. For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow to the goodness of the Lord, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd; and their soul shall be like a watered garden; and they shall not languish in sorrow any more. Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together; for I will turn their mourning to joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says the Lord.” (Jeremiah30:24-31:13)

The climax of these times in which we are now living in Israel was prophesied by Micah, Isaiah and others.
“But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for Torah shall go forth from Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And he shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide concerning far away strong nations; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more. But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken it.” (Micah4:1-4)

The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement carries this key event in the redemptional process of Israel as the focus of its godly and historical campaign. The complete redemption of Israel and the godly end time revolution all over the world will not come to pass until the end-time house of G–d, the eternal house of G–d is built. We heard the call of G–d to make this vision a reality in our lifetime and we have answered it over the past 30 years since the liberation of the Temple Mount and Biblical Jerusalem by the soldiers of G–d, the forces of Israel. This campaign will not stop until this vision comes to pass. We know that time is short and nothing can stop this vision and the end-time vessel of G–d, the Faithful Movement, from making it a reality soon in our lifetime.

On Tisha B’Av The Temple Mount Faithful Movement took an important step towards this fulfilment when in the early morning of 27th July 2004 we carried 2 large marble cornerstones (each of 6½ tonnes) around the walls of Biblical Jerusalem and through the streets of downtown Jerusalem. The cornerstones were cut according to Biblical law not by the use of iron or other metal instruments but by diamond cutters. They were carried on a large truck. Banners informed Jerusalem in large Hebrew letters that these were the cornerstones for the Third Temple. The flags of Israel with the Star of David and the Temple flags of the Faithful Movement covered the top of the stones like a “chuppah”. As a bride is taken to her marriage under a chuppah, the holiness and the Chekinah of the G–d of Israel covered these 2 stones which soon, after 1934 years, were again seen in the city of G–d and His Temple, the eternal capital of the G–d and people of Israel. Godly history was made by the Faithful Movement at this moment. We felt the presence of the G–d of Israel and His holiness all over the streets where the cornerstones were carried. For almost 2000 years the G–d and people of Israel longed and desired to see this event in the rebuilt Jerusalem. This exciting morning made it a reality despite the fact that the cornerstones could not be laid on the Temple Mount in the same location of the First and Second Temples because of fear on the part of the Israeli Authorities of Arab reaction and the pressure that comes from all the world. We knew that time is so short and soon all the walls and obstacles will fall and disappear like dust in the wind as the G–d of Israel promised again and again through all His prophets, We felt that the encouragement of G–d and His blessing through Zechariah were coming to pass on that morning and will soon be completed on Mt. Moriah.
“Thus says the Lord of hosts: Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, who spoke on the day that the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts was laid, saying that the temple might be built.” (Zechariah8:9)

In the midst of all the sorrow, the fast and the mourning for the destruction of the First and Second Temples, we felt on this morning that another promise of the G–d of Israel started to be fulfilled when He promised that all the fasts for the destruction of the Temple and others would become days of joy.
“And the word of the Lord of hosts came to me, saying, Thus says the Lord of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall become times of joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts to the house of Judah; therefore love truth and peace.” (Zechariah 8:18,19)

One day, when the history of these exciting godly days of redemption will be written, this godly end-time event will be in the focus of it and will be considered as the first step, the opening, of the building of the end-time Temple.

After the event of the cornerstones, the Temple Mount Faithful and many Israelis who joined them, marched to the Temple Mount together with a model of the Third Temple which they carried as a clear message to the G–d of Israel that we are faithful to His vision and call to immediately rebuild His house and as a message to Israel that we are ready to do it and to make it a reality in the life of this generation and as a message to all the world that nothing can prevent it and that no pressure from the world can stop the Word of G–d and His determination to make this vision a reality. Despite the fact that the Temple Mount was closed by the Israeli Authorities, unfortunately as a sign of weakness and fear of possible Arab reaction and riot, our spirit and determination to make this vision of G–d a reality were inside the Temple Mount. Like Joshua who circled the walls of Jericho seven time and blew the shofars until the walls fell, we continued to circle the walls of hostility on the Temple Mount until they will fall.

Thanks to the G–d Israel they really started to fall when He answered our marches and demonstrations on the Temple Mount and created an earthquake in February this year and as a result of it a huge crack appeared along the eastern wall of the Temple Mount including the location of the Golden Gate through which Mashiach ben David will enter. Another large bulge appeared on the southern wall from where millions of Israeli pilgrims entered the Temple Mount. One of the walls in the Western Wall area collapsed and pieces of stone started to fall even from the Western Wall where Jews pray today. Engineers have stated that the walls cannot be repeatedly repaired for a long time and will eventually collapse. It is so important to share what I heard together with all the people of Israel that in the near future another major earthquake, which will be much stronger that the one in February will occur in Israel and the focus of it will be on the Temple Mount. What is even more exciting is that as a result of the February earthquake, no building in Israel was damaged besides the roof of the Dome of the Rock and the ceiling of the office of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in the Knesset. It was a clear message of G–d to the Arabs and Moslems to leave the Temple Mount sooner than even it is possible before He will do it in a terrible day of Judgement on them. It was also a clear message to Prime Minister Sharon to answer the call of G–d, not to fear anyone in the world but only to trust the G—d of Israel to remove the enemy of the G—d and people of Israel from Mt. Moriah and to purify the Temple Mount and to rebuild the house of G–d.

In front of the eastern (Mugrabe) gate of the Temple Mount the chairman of the Faithful Movement, Gershon Salomon, called on Prime Minister Sharon to accept and answer this message and not to miss the great privilege that G–d gave him to be a real leader of His people, to rebuild His Temple, not to give in to the pressure that comes from all the world to give the Biblical Jerusalem of Israel and other Biblical areas in the land to the Arab enemies of the G—d and people of Israel, so-called “Palestinians” and not to establish a so-called “Palestinian” state or any other foreign state in the holy land that G–d gave only to Israel for a godly purpose in an eternal covenant. He called on Sharon to open the gates of the Temple Mount to the cornerstones. He told him that only the rebuilding of the Temple will create a real peace when the enemies of Israel are removed from any part of the holy land and a godly peace will also come to all the world. He called on the people of Israel to stop praying near the Western Wall which is a sign of destruction and exile and to immediately start the worship only on the Temple Mount.

Before the G—d of Israel, on His holy hill, he and all the Faithful Movement and the crowd swore in the name of all the people of Israel and its wonderful friends all over the world, never to stop the godly campaign of the Movement to rebuild the house of G–d which will open the gate for the coming of Mashiach ben David, and to make Israel a Biblical nation with a Biblical mission as G–d anointed and dedicated them to be. We swore never to forget but to be completely faithful to the covenant that the G—d of Israel made with His people Israel and the holy land which He gave to them.

July 24, 2004---As of this date, the status of Israel's sovereignty of the Temple Mount, and the Arab occupation and usage of the Dome of the Rock, has not changed.  There is still a minority in Israel who  want the 3rd Temple rebuilt, but the Government essentially allows the Arabs practical control of the Dome of the Rock. We are awaiting developments that will allow Israel to build the 3rd Temple in the location of the Dome of the Rock or adjacent to it.  This could occur any day, and will surely occur by 2040.  This event, mentioned in Dan 9:27, will commence the last 7 years of this age.

STEPS TOWARDS THE TEMPLE MOUNT(May 5, 2003)
"We are taking steps towards opening the Temple Mount to Jews."  So said Jerusalem Police Chief Mickey Levy today, at a small ceremony in honor of the approaching Independence Day celebrations.  He said that because of the sensitivity of the matter, he could not specify what steps are being taken.

Several months ago, Levy said that after the war Iraq, the Temple Mount - Judaism's holiest site - could be opened to Jews, after having been closed to them since the onset of the Oslo War in Sept. 2000.  The Yesha Rabbis Council reminded Levy of his words last week, and today responded with appreciation to Levy's statement: "We congratulate him and hope that this black stain upon Israel's independence will soon be removed.  The test is in deeds, and not in words."

"There is a wide perception that the Western Wall is Judaism's holiest site," recently explained Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovich, Rabbi of the Western Wall and Jewish Holy Sites.  Actually, however, "the holiness of the Wall is derived exclusively from the fact that it is a remnant of the Temple Mount - which is truly the Jewish people's holiest site."

A Letter to President Bush
by Rabbi Zalman Baruch Melamed
May 2, 2003 - Nissan 30, 5763

To: Hon. George Bush, the President of the United States
          First Lady Mrs. Laura Bush

Greetings and blessings.
I would like to congratulate you and the entire American nation on your successful mission against the cruel dictator from Iraq.  The toppling of his corrupt regime opens a window of hope for a new era in the Middle East and the entire world.

This, then, is the hour to right the terrible wrong that has been done to the Jewish Nation over the past 2,000 years.  Expelled from their land and homeless, the Jews have wandered throughout the centuries from country to country.  Yes, 50 years ago, with G-d's help, we merited our own state - but it is one that has never known a day of peace, and has never enjoyed its own recognized borders.  Who knows if it is not you, Mr. President, who has been chosen as the agent to restore the People of Israel to its own small land in the borders delineated in the Bible?

The People of Israel is intertwined with its Land - all of it - from the depths of its very soul.  All the Prophets predicted that we would return - and lo and behold, this is happening in front of our eyes.

To counter this, Arab terrorist organizations, backed by Arab countries, have made it their goal to wage war against the restored State of Israel, vowing to battle until its destruction.  They wish to perpetuate the theft of the Promised Land from its rightful owners, the Jewish People.

Hon. President and Mrs. Bush, you who began this holy mission of uprooting and destroying evil - please finish the job!  Terrorist organizations such as the PLO - which to this very day are headed by some of the worst terrorists of the 20th century - are no different than the regime that until recently ruled Iraq.  They will never make peace with Israel!  Every attempt to reach an agreement with them brings more bloodshed, as happened with the Oslo Accords.

The only real solution is to rectify the historic wrong and enable the People of Israel to return to their entire land.  Every program that stands in opposition to the Prophets' Road Map cannot succeed.  I ask you to stand by Israel's side, help it return to its entire land, and be a partner in the only "guaranteed" process - the Peace Plan laid out by the prophets!

The communities of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza are populated by idealistic and values-guided Jews, who have withstood and overcome the tremendous difficulties of life in the dark shadow of constant terrorism.  They are firmly implanted in, and bonded to, their land.  Jews simply cannot be uprooted from places like Beit El and Shilo; to do so is almost a contradiction in terms.

The word of G-d will stand forever.  I implore you not to be a partner to those who wish to go against the word of G-d, as expressed by the Prophets.

With blessings and great respect,

(Rabbi) Zalman Baruch Melamed
Rabbi of Beit El and Chairman of the Rabbis Council of Judea, Samaria, and Gaza

THE ROAD MAP PLAN  May 1, 2003
(*Site author's comment* Intransigence will probably delay this plan, but this plan makes it possible for Dan 9:27 to be fulfilled in 2005, which, if it occurred, would start the last 7 years of this age, ending with the second coming of Christ!)
"Although the Road Map plan, as submitted to Israel and PA officials yesterday, has so far not incorporated any of the 15 changes Israel submitted over the past months, hardly any Israeli government representatives have commented on its dangers.  Minister Uzi Landau said yesterday that it was "dangerous" and that he would not vote for it in its current format, but silence has been the order of the day from the other ministers.

Arutz-7's Ariel Kahane studied the plan and made the following observations:
"From Israel's standpoint, it's worse than Bush's June 24th two-state vision, totally ignoring the 15 corrections that Israel wished to make.  Its demands on the PA are less concrete than even the previous plans.  It is based on a combination of the Saudi proposal and UN Resolutions 242 and 338 which, taken together, mean a total Israeli withdrawal from all of Yesha [Judea, Gaza, and Samaria] back to the pre-Six Day War borders.
"The plan has three stages, beginning with mutual declarations of acceptance of Bush's two-state vision, and mutual (!) cessation of all incitement.  The PA must make 'visible efforts' against terrorism, including reducing the 17 security bodies to three, one of which must 'arrest, disrupt, and restrain individuals and groups conducting and planning violent attacks on Israelis anywhere.'  At the same time, the PA must continue with political and economic reforms, while Israel must gradually withdraw from the areas it entered during the Oslo War, stop its own measures against terrorism, and cease all construction in Yesha, including for natural growth.  All this is supposed to take only one month!
"The second stage includes PA elections, restoration of diplomatic relations with Israel by Arab countries, and deeper PA reforms.  Israel, for its part, must withdraw from additional areas to allow PA contiguity, re-open PA institutions in Jerusalem, ease restrictions, and withdraw from all Yesha settlements that were built after March 2001.  This stage is supposed to take six months.
"The third stage, leading to a PA state in temporary borders, is scheduled to start in the beginning of 2004.  It includes the beginning of a final-status arrangement on the outstanding issues, including refugees, Jerusalem, borders.  The entire process is under the supervision of the Quartet - the U.S., UN, EU, and Russia."

Kahane noted that the PA news agency released a version of the Road Map that leaves out many of the PA obligations, such as the cutting-down of PA military agencies - "which gives us some idea on how they see the future of this plan."

Even Oslo architect Ron Pundak sounded skeptical about the plan's chances for success.  He told Arutz-7 today that the Road Map faces criticism from both the right and left in both the PA and Israel.  Regarding the demand that Abu Mazen put up a fight against terrorists in his own back yard, Pundak said that this is "very complex and involved."

Extreme-conservative former American presidential candidate Pat Buchanan predicts that top U.S. Administration officials, including Vice President Cheney and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld, will fight to kill the Road Map plan.  Buchanan says that in essence, a long list of groups will strenuously object to the plan, including, "the Israeli Lobby, neoconservative columnists, Evangelical Christians, House Republicans, and the leadership and presidential candidates of a Democratic Party that will see this as an opportunity to drive a wedge between Bush and his new enthusiasts in the Jewish community."  In addition, writing recently in his American Conservative magazine, Buchanan wrote that there is "no hard evidence [that] Bush himself believes that deeply in the road map, or is willing to pay the hellish price he would have to pay to impose it upon Ariel Sharon."

New York Times analyst Steven R. Weisman, writing in today's edition, similarly noted the "almost low-key manner in which the [Road Map] was released [yesterday] in the United States."  He concluded, however, that whatever the results of Secretary Powell's trip to the region this week, "the issue is not likely to be one Mr. Bush can avoid. There are too many people demanding that he remain involved, whatever the political risk."

Bush said today that he welcomes the publication of the Road Map, as well as the installation two days ago of Abu Mazen as Prime Minister in the Palestinian Authority.  Bush said that Abu Mazen is "a man I can work with, someone I look forward to working with."  He said that the PA would have to take steps on behalf of an agreement with Israel, and that Israel would have to make "painful concessions" to that end."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the fourth day of Pesach 5763 (18 Nisan/20 April 2003 - Sunday) at 10:00 AM the Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement will undertake a pilgrimage march to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem exactly as the G-d of Israel commanded His people in the Torah. The march will start at the Western gate of the Temple Mount.

"The Feast of Unleavened Bread shall you keep. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the time of the month Abib; for in the month Abib you came out from Egypt. ... Thrice in the year shall all your males appear before the L-rd G-d, the G-d of Israel. For I will cast out the nations before you, and enlarge your borders; nor shall any man desire your land, when you shall go up to appear before the L-rd your G-d thrice in the year." (Exodus 34:18,23,24)

This special pilgrimage will be undertaken at a very critical time in the time of the redemption of the people of Israel. It is a time of trouble in Israel, the Middle East, and all over the world when almost all nations have a desire for the land of Israel, Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount, They want to take them away from Israel and give them to the most evil enemies of the G-d and people of Israel, the so-called "Palestinians". The special significance of our pilgrimage to the Temple Mount is the only straight answer to this evil desire of all the nations: the rebuilding of the house of G-d and the pilgrimage to His holy hill will prevent the desire of all of them for the land of Israel exactly as G-d told us in His Word.

"For I will cast out the nations before you, and enlarge your borders; nor shall any man desire your land, when you shall go up to appear before the L-rd your G-d thrice in the year." (Exodus 34:24)

This will be the main call and message of the Faithful Movement to the Israeli Government during this year’s pilgrimage: rebuild the Temple immediately! This is the only answer to the pressure, the attacks, the wars, and evil desire of all the nations against the land of Israel. A real peace and love between the nations will only come when Israel fulfils this, her endtime task exactly as G-d commanded her.

"But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the L-rd shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the L-rd, and to the house of the G-d of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for Torah shall go forth from Zion, and the word of the L-rd from Jerusalem. And he shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide concerning far away strong nations; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, nor shall they learn war any more. But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the L-rd of hosts has spoken it." (Micah 4:1-4)

As we said, this pilgrimage will take place at a very special and prophetic time in the endtime history of Israel. Even the current troubles are a sign that time is short and we are very close to the rebuilding of the Temple and the coming of Mashiach ben David. It was prophesied and now is coming to pass stage by stage. The prophet Ezekiel shared these stages with us. In chapter 37 he prophesied the rebirth of Israel in the endtimes in which we are now living and the regathering of the Jewish People back to the Promised Land. This happened in 1948 and continues up to the present time. In chapter 38 and 39 Ezekiel prophesied the troubles which would occur in Israel when all the nations will come to take away the Land, Jerusalem, and the Temple Mount from Israel. The G-d of Israel will defeat them and judge them on the mountains of Jerusalem and the Land. In chapters 40 to 46 Ezekiel prophesied the building of the Third Temple and the renewal of the worship in the Temple. Ezekiel is not the only prophet who prophesied about the time in which we are now living. They all placed the rebuilding of the Temple at the center and as a key event in the redemption of Israel and then of all the world.

The endtime movement of G-d for this major event and His vessel is The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement. The pilgrimage and march of the Movement during this Pesach — the holiday of the redemption of Israel — will be directed toward the immediate fulfilment of the prophesies of Ezekiel.

On early Friday morning, the members of the Movement will go out to the fields of Israel to cut the Omer and to carry it as an offering to the G-d of Israel. This will be done exactly as G-d commanded Israel to do in the Torah, even as our forefathers did in the time of the First and Second Temples.

"And the L-rd spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the people of Israel, and say to them, When you come to the land which I give to you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest; And he shall wave the sheaf before the L-rd, to be accepted for you; on the next day after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf a male lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering to the L-rd. And the meal offering of it shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to the L-rd for a sweet savour; and the drink offering of it shall be of wine, the fourth part of a hin. And you shall eat nor bread, nor parched grain, nor green ears, until the same day that you have brought an offering to your G-d; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings." (Leviticus 23:9-14)

This exciting event was renewed by The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement after the liberation of the Temple Mount in 1967. This important commandment is fulfilled again after almost 2,000 years during which it could not be done because of the destruction of the Temple and the exile of Israel. When the Faithful Movement undertake the pilgrimage march to the Temple Mount on Sunday, 20 April, the fourth day of Pesach, the Omer will be carried to the Temple Mount to offer it to the G-d of Israel on His holy hill as an important stage leading up to the rebuilding of the Temple.

The Faithful Movement will also carry a large Biblical model of the Temple to the Temple Mount to say to G-d that we are ready to build the Temple and as a message to the Israeli people and all the world. In front of the location of the First, Second, and Third Temples we shall pray the Pesach festival prayers. We will also pray for the immediate rebuilding of the Temple. In front of the Holy of Holies we shall swear faithfulness to the G-d of Israel, to the purification of His holy mountain and Jerusalem, and for His complete and undivided land that He gave to Israel in an eternal covenant. We shall swear faithfulness to the holy cause and to the great mission to rebuild His holy Temple and to make the land and people of Israel a Biblical land and a Biblical nation with a mission for all the nations. We shall pray for the endtime redemptional godly event which is now taking place in Israel and for its completion in our lifetime to be an opening for the redemption of all mankind. We shall pray for a real godly peace in Israel and all the world. We shall pray for all the dear and wonderful friends of the Faithful Movement and Israel who are standing with us with such faithfulness and devotion. We shall bless them from the most holy place in the world in the name of all the people of Israel and the members of the Faithful Movement. After almost 2,000 years again will be heard on the Temple Mount: "If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember you, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I do not set Jerusalem above my highest joy." (Psalm 137:5,6) However, the great difference is that it will now be sworn in a time of redemption very close to the great day of the rebuilding of the Temple and no longer at a time of destruction. It will be a statement in front of the G-d of Israel and all the world that we are ready for this great moment.

Later we shall march to all the gates and around the walls of the Temple Mount as Joshua did at Jericho blowing shofars and silver trumpets and praying that the walls of hatred will fall and that G-d will bless us to rebuild the godly walls of holiness and love. The flags of the Temple and the Star of David will be carried by the marchers and Biblical songs will be played sung by Levites. It will again be a Biblical endtime event as an opening for the worship in the Third Temple which will soon be rebuilt. Friends from outside Israel will march together with us who will come to fulfil the prophesy - "My House will be a House of Prayer for all nations." (Isaiah56) The presence of G-d will be with us on His holy mountain.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On 27 August 2002, the archaeologists of the Israeli Antiquities Authority warned that the southern wall of the Temple Mount is in great imminent danger of collapsing. They stated that the bulge in the wall has become much larger. Last year the bulge was 70 cm [2.25 feet] and was 30 meters [98 feet] long. The bulge has now increased to over one meter [3 feet] and is much longer. The bulge was first noticed after Tisha b’Av last year immediately after the Temple Mount Faithful had carried the cornerstone for the Third Temple to the area in front of the southern wall of the Temple Mount.

The archaeologists also stated that if the wall collapses, the Al Aqsa mosque will collapse together with it. In addition, the other two illegal mosques that have been built over the past years will also collapse. They were built when they changed the Hulda entrance to the Temple Mount and the so-called Solomon’s Stables and made them into the largest mosque in the Middle East. Both of these holy places, together with the southern wall, were built by the Israeli King Herod and completed by 10 BCE. They were part of the Temple complex. On the southern wall were the Double Gate and Triple Gate which were known as the Hulda Gates after the prophetess Hulda and were used as the main entrance for millions of Jewish pilgrims in the Second Temple. The Hulda Tunnel and Solomon’s Stables (which were never stables and did not exist in the time of King Solomon; there were erroneously called this by the Crusaders) remained exactly as they were at the time of the Second Temple until recently when the Arabs on the Temple Mount covered the beautiful ornamentation and the pillars and illegally converted the area into a mosque.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday evening, 8 January 2001. 500,000 Israelis -- secular, religious and ultra-religious -- stood in front of the Temple Mount and the Jaffa Gate of the Old City of Jerusalem and in a very exciting historical moment together swore faithfulness to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem.

They swore in the name of the nation of Israel what their forefathers swore thousands of years ago in the same place: "If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember you, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I do not set Jerusalem above my highest joy." (Psalms137:5,6) This was the climax of an historical event and demonstration which occurred at a very critical time in the history of Israel when so many enemies of the G-d and people of Israel want to take the Temple Mount and Jerusalem away from us and make it no longer Jerusalem -- the mountain and city of the G-d of Israel -- but an Islamic Al Quds.

It was no accident that this event took place at the same time that President Clinton stated in the United States that he will do everything he can to see that Israel will be divided and that a "Palestinian State" will be created in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, the most Biblical areas of the land of Israel, and that its capital will be on the Temple Mount and the Biblical Jerusalem, named Al Quds, under "Palestinian" sovereignty. It is only G-d Who caused this demonstration to be held at the same time as President Clinton was making his evil, anti-godly statement.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sept. 16, 2000---Sept.13th has come and gone and there is still no agreement.  BUT, note that sovereignty of the the Temple Mount is the main problem, and that Israel and the PLO have agreed to continue attempts to arrive at an agreement that may give Israel the right to rebuild their Temple and start the last 7 years of this age.  This website, when it was set up one year ago, stood alone in stating that the Sharm negotiations between Israel and the PLO had paramount implications concerning the Temple Mount and that a final agreement could be the covenant in Daniel 9:27 that will start the last 7 years of this age and the return of Messiah.  KEEP WATCHING-Israel, the PLO, the Arab nations, Islam, Christianity, Judaism, the United States, Europe, and the United Nations are all presently attempting to solve the Temple Mount sovereignty problem.  This worldwide attempt to resolve the various claims on the Temple Mount  is EXCITING and we can credibly hope that it is in God's will to resolve it soon so that Messiah can return and institute the Kingdom of God that we pray for in the Lord's Prayer.  Get excited and read Zechariah Ch. 12, 13, & 14.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
May 5, 2000---Negotiations between Israel and the PLO have not resulted in any news that relates to the rebuilding of the Third Temple.  The Sept 13th final agreement date is fast approaching and the two parties are as intransigent as ever.  Nevertheless, God has said that it will be rebuilt soon, and it will!  The Temple Mount Faithful movement recently sent an email reporting on their April 23, 2000 Pesach pilgrimage to the Temple Mount.  Click here: templemount2.htm

February 25, 2000----
The February 13th deadline for Israel and the PLO to agree on a framework agreement for the final status of Jerusalem has passed without any understandings. In addition, relations between the two parties have reached new highs in disagreement and animosity. There are strong opposing forces working to both assist and oppose the signing of a complete, final agreement on the final status of Jerusalem by September 13th. The Clinton administration will lose their influence during the last quarter of this year, and the signing is a high priority with them. The PLO has declared that they will declare an independent state if this deadline passes without agreement. The Pope, most of the Christian denominations, the United Nations, the PLO, Islam, and even much of Israel want to internationalize Jerusalem, contrary to the express statements of God in the Bible. How and when the Third Temple will be built is not known, BUT IT IS CLEAR THAT GOD HAS DECLARED THAT IT WILL BE BUILT 3 1/2 TO 7 YEARS BEFORE THE END OF THIS AGE AND THAT THE NATIONS OPPOSING HIS WILL ON JERUSALEM WILL SUFFER THE DESOLATING JUDGEMENTS IN ZECHARIAH, CHAPTERS 12-14! It does appear that Jerusalem will become an international city. Perhaps this will also allow Israel to build the Temple, and perhaps the antichrist will be instrumental in this and bringing about the temporary, false peace while the Temple is rebuilt. This will be an interesting year for those of us who are watching for the return of the Messiah in "power and great glory." Unfortunately, many will believe that antichrist is the Messiah:

3 ¶ Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 NKJV)

February 1, 2000-----The Temple Store in Jerusalem sent out the following email about Temple Mount activity on January 27th:

"Thousands Rally over Temple Mount Desecration
By Moshe Burt
25 January, 2000

In the late afternoon yesterday thousands from all over Israel
converged on Jerusalem and met just outside of the Old City.
Braving the cold weather, they gathered to protest against
recent desecrations on the Temple Mount.

Participants first went to the Kidron Valley and were able to
view a huge pile dirt and debris that the Arab Wakf dug out of
the Solomon's Stables area of the Temple Mount and dumped,
by the truckload, in the valley. This pile has been found to
contain many artifacts of archeological significance as
archeologists were barred from supervising the dig.
Participants were able to search the debris and themselves
found articles of potential interest.

Prayers were recited in the valley by the dump site by Moshe
Feiglin over a public address system. Mr. Feiglin is the leader
of Zo Artzeinu, a group instrumental in the protests against
the Oslo accords several years ago and the organizer of the
rally.

After viewing the situation in the Kidron Valley, the
participants then made a long uphill walk to a spot on the
Mount of Olives with a clear view of the Temple Mount and
Jerusalem's Old City. There they heard speeches by Moshe
Feiglin, Nadia Matar, Motti Karpin, Knesset member Yuli
Stern of Yisrael Beiteinu and others. The speakers called for
for Jewish sovereignty over all of Jerusalem and for the current
government to put an end to the unsupervised construction by
the Wakf on the Temple Mount.

The rally comes against the background of the Barak
government turning a blind eye towards Arab desecration of
the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site; the issue of
negotiations with Syria over the future of the Golan; and talk of
further redeployments in the near future where areas just
outside of Jerusalem may be turned over to Arab control.

The police presence was massive, with police and soldiers
present in large numbers at over a dozen locations. This was
apparently to prevent any problems along the route from the
Kidron Valley to the site where the speeches were heard,
which runs near an Arab residential area. The rally as a whole
went very smoothly, with participants acting in a very orderly
manner.

The Jerusalem Post Internet Edition
reported there were several thousand people at the event.
One speaker said that the police estimate was 5,000"

1 ¶ <<A Song of Ascents.>> LORD, remember David And all his afflictions; 2 How he swore to the LORD, And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob: 3 "Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, Or go up to the comfort of my bed; 4 I will not give sleep to my eyes Or slumber to my eyelids, 5 Until I find a place for the LORD, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob." 6 Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah; We found it in the fields of the woods. 7 Let us go into His tabernacle; Let us worship at His footstool. 8 Arise, O LORD, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength. 9 Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, And let Your saints shout for joy. 10 For Your servant David's sake, Do not turn away the face of Your Anointed. 11 ¶ The LORD has sworn in truth to David; He will not turn from it: "I will set upon your throne the fruit of your body. 12 If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I shall teach them, Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forevermore." 13 For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place: 14 "This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it. 15 I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread. 16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her saints shall shout aloud for joy. 17 There I will make the horn of David grow; I will prepare a lamp for My Anointed. 18 His enemies I will clothe with shame, But upon Himself His crown shall flourish." (Psalms 132:1-18 NKJV)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
January 25, 2000-----The Arutz Sheva News Service daily email of this date (mailto:info@ArutzSheva.org, http://ArutzSheva.org) had the following article on current Temple Mount and Jerusalem activity:

"RALLIES FOR JERUSALEM
The scenes of last year's half-million-strong rally of religious Jews - who
gathered to protest Supreme Court interference in religious matters - may
soon repeat itself. This time, however, the focus will be on the unity of
Jerusalem, and the participants will likely transcend particular religious
and political factions. So says the organizer of the previous rally,
Agudat Yisrael Honorary President Rabbi Menachem Porush. Porush told
Arutz-7 today that the protest could still be called off - if Prime
Minister Barak chooses to respond to a letter Porush wrote him less than a
month ago. "I asked Mr. Barak to assure us that the plans to hand over Abu
Dis and other Jerusalem suburbs to the Palestinian Authority would not be
carried out," Porush said. "He has not yet done so. I am surprised that
he has not understood the severity of this matter. The coming protest will
be attended by a cross-section of the Jewish people - religious and secular
- and whoever holds dear the verse, 'If I Forget Thee, Jerusalem, may my
right hand lose its cunning.'"

Rabbi Porush noted today that a gathering of Jerusalem border-community
representatives has been called for next Wednesday evening in the Jerusalem
City Hall building. He said that this forum would serve as the nucleus for
the rally's steering committee. Asked why prominent hareidi rabbis have
chosen to lead the fight on a type of nationalist political issue with
which the yeshiva world is generally not identified, Porush responded:
"Until now, we have become used to hearing government representatives issue
festive declarations such as 'A United Jerusalem - the Eternal Capital of
Israel' and the like. When our rabbis learned of the secret plans to
divide Jerusalem, they were gripped with fear. If the proposed maps become
a reality, Jerusalem and more than 100,000 Jews [in certain neighborhoods]
will be in existential danger."

A different type of demonstration, but for much the same purpose, is
already underway in Jerusalem late this afternoon. Nadia Matar of Women in
Green reports from the capital that at least 50 cars gathered at one spot
and are heading for the Kidron Valley, where they will meet similar groups
from many other locations in the country. Large traffic jams are expected.
Zo Artzeinu [This is Our Land], which organized the drive-in, has also
scheduled a march to a spot near the Temple Mount, at which the
participants will protest the continued Waqf desecration of the Temple
Mount. They will also declare their allegiance, in a special ceremony, to
the holy city and the site of the Beit HaMikdash."

Have those in power in Israel considered the last three verses in the Hebrew Bible? Do they realize that the Third Temple is necessary to obey the law of Moses and for Messiah to come?
4 ¶ "Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, With the statutes and judgments. 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. 6 And he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and strike the earth with a curse." (Malachi 4:4-6 NKJV)

December 28, 1999-----The Temple Mount Faithful just emailed the following news concerning the recent unauthorized excavations on the Temple Mount:

The Campaign of The Temple Mount Faithful to Stop the Destruction on the
Temple Mount Continues:
We, as well as other groups connected with us, are taking care of what was
removed from the Temple Mount. Some of the remains were taken by the
Antiquities Authority and the Bar Ilan University and they have been proved
to be remains from the First and Second Temples. In our petition to the
Supreme Court which we made and the hearing was held yesterday, we asked
very clearly that not only to immediately stop the destruction and to take
those responsible to court and prison, but also to replace all the material
which was removed in its original place on the Temple Mount and to return
the situation on the Temple Mount to as it was. Yesterday, they started to
destroy another construction which they found under the ground which also
belongs, no doubt, to the Temple complex. We immediately asked the Supreme
Court to stop this barbaric Arab destruction. In the mean time, we are
waiting for the decision of the Supreme Court with regard to our petition.
They promised to make the decision soon. Yesterday a great demonstration
against this barbaric destruction on the Temple Mount was held and
thousands participated. Other Israeli groups and organisations participated
in the demonstration which took place on Mt Scopus, over from the Temple
Mount. I opened this demonstration and then read Psalm 79. I called on the
Israeli Government and al the people of Israel to immediately stop this
destruction and that we shall continue our struggle until it is stopped and
the barbarian enemy removed from the holy hill of G-d and Israel. More
demonstrations and activities with regard to this situation will be held in
the coming days. There is a great awakening in Israel against this
vandalism and the weakness of the Israeli Government which is not
fulfilling its task to immediately stop it and to change this violent
situation on the most holy hill of G-d and Israel. G-d willing, we are
determined to continue our holy campaign until we see the G-d and people of
Israel back on their dearest hill and the pagan vandals removed together
with their terrible abomination. G-d willing we shall soon see the
fulfilment of our hopes, activities and this holy cause.

December 21, 1999------Israel announced that they would have 12,000 troops and volunteers on duty Dec. 31, 1999 with 3,000 in Jerusalem to handle possible terroristic activity. Jews and Arabs have escalated their conflict because of the recent excavation activities by the Arabs on and under the Temple Mount. I had an email asking me what my "predictions" were for the end of the year. I am not in the "prediction" business. I only repeat my understanding of the Bible's declaration of the past and the future. The Bible assures me:

1. The end of this calendar year and Y2K will not bring about the rapture, the Second Coming or the end of this age. The end of this year and millennium has no significance in God's prophetic calendar.
2. Terrorism, threats of war, and peace efforts will escalate in 2000. We may see the agreement, league or covenant described in Dan 9:27 signed which would start the 7 year countdown to our Lord's return.
3. No comprehensive peace agreement will last longer than 3 1/2 years. Nuclear war will break out after this peace agreement collapses during the middle of this 7 year period as described in Daniel 9:27.
4. We Christians are to continue living our life in a normal fashion maintaining our normal activities and letting God's Word be our guiding light. Only Scripture will sustain our faith and confidence during this last 3 1/2 years of this age. We are to lift up our heads, because our redemption draws near!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

December 13, 1999------Millenium fever in Jerusalem and throughout the world is in the headlines. There is concern about Y2K. The US State Dept. has warned US travellers about terrorism at the turn of the century. There have been warnings of suitcase nuclear bombs to be used by terrorists. Millenial security is a new growth industry. Jerusalem is bracing for more tourists than ever before. Many "Elijahs" are on the scene in Jerusalem as well as people claiming to be the two witnesses of the Book of Revelation (one of whom will be Elijah.). Israel is deporting Christians who are looking for the return of Christ and preaching the Gospel as they never have before. Emotional partisan activity is going on at the Temple Mount and the Dome of the Rock. How should a Biblical Christian look at all of this? Jesus told us in Luke 21:28....

God, through the Old and New Testament prophets, (all Jews) has told us that the Third Jewish Temple will be built 3 1/2 to 7 years before the Second Coming and the end of this age. He has also told us that 7 years before our Lord comes again there would be an internationally recognized agreement made that would allow Israel to build their Third Temple. The stage is being set for this, but it has not happened yet. Therefore the rapture, the Second Coming, and the end of this age cannot occur before 2007. Nevertheless, this world will become more dangerous although there will be a brief peace in the Middle East. Whatever develops from Y2K, it has no Biblical significance. Look for Jerusalem to be of world interest and concern. The Temple Mount and Land of Israel Faithful Movement has just sent out another email concerning recent activities at the Temple Mount. Click here: templemount.htm Merry CHRISTmas to all....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

November 6, 1999------The movie "Omega Code" is currently playing. This movie is highly recommended as a reasonable interpretation of the Biblical end times scenario. It is consistent with many of the attempts to interpret prophecy at this time. It does an excellent job in Biblically portraying Israel, Jerusalem, the soon to be rebuilt Jewish Temple, the Dome of the Rock, the last 7 years of this age (Daniel's 70th week of years), each 3 1/2 year period during the last 7 years, the anti-christ, the "abomination of desolation" in the Temple, the two witnesses, a deceptive, short-lived peace during the first 3 1/2 years, the destruction of anti-christ by the brightness of the Second Coming, etc. Its great flaw is that the end times scenario in the movie is derived from a fictional secret computer code contained in the Hebrew Bible, whereas the events in the movie are from a reasonable literal interpretation of the plain text in Scripture. See it-you will like it!

Sept. 5, 1999-------The Sharm Memorandum was signed by Israel and the PLO, agreeing to reach a comprehensive agreement on the Final Status of Jerusalem by Sept. 15, 2000 with a framework agreement by Feb. 15, 2000, and to implement U.N. Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338.

June 5, 1967--------Israel regains control of Jerusalem through the Six-Day War. Within days, Moshe Dayan gave control of the 45 acre temple mount and the Dome of the Rock to the WAQF, the Muslim religious body that has the oversight of mosques and holy sites.

`Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because the enemy has said of you, `Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession,'"' (Ezekiel 36:2 NKJV).... "Then say to them, `Thus says the Lord GOD: "Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; "and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. "They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God. "David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them. "Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children's children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever. "Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. "My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. "The nations also will know that I, the LORD, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore."'" (Ezekiel 37:21-28 NKJV)

May 15, 1948-------State of Israel established, not including the old city and temple mount:

8 "But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come. 9 "For indeed I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown. 10 "I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. (Ezekiel 36:8-10 NKJV)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nov. 27, 1947------The United Nations passes a resolution calling for the establishment of the State if Israel. This gave impetus to the second regathering of the Jews back into the promised land after wandering from nation to nation since the Romans drove them out after 135 A.D, just as Moses, Ezekiel, Isaiah, and the prophets predicted:

64 "Then the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known--wood and stone. 65 "And among those nations you shall find no rest, nor shall the sole of your foot have a resting place; but there the LORD will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and anguish of soul. 66 "Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life. (Deuteronomy 28:64-66 NKJV)

11 It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea. 12 He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth. (Isaiah 11:11-12 NKJV) (The first time was from the Babylonian captivity.)
